Having left Toulon on March 3 to a long-term operational deployment which led her to Australia, via Djibouti and Asia, the mission "Jeanne d'Arc 2016" of the French Marine Nationale stopped in Reunion for a week stay. Amphibious group, the mission "Jeanne d'Arc" is composed of the Landing Helicopter Dock (BPC) "Tonnerre", commanded by Captain Sudrat (also commander of the group "Jeanne d'Arc") and "Guépratte", a second-line multi-mission La Fayette-class frigate, which ensures the escort of the BPC and commanded by Commander Pothier.
